Small Worlds Recycled Art Competition

Too often waste and environmental destruction is seen as something ‘out there’ that we have little control over. By seeking creative responses to waste on a small scales, the competition invited people to consider the environmental impact and relationships of the human scale items in their lives. A range of local artists and youth submitted artworks smaller than 30x30x30cm that were judged on their ability to communicate sustainability and demonstrated innovation across a number of categories, including wearable, e-waste, functional, and youth. An exhibition and launch night in the local library showcased the best entries.

Organisations: Maribyrnong City Council.
